A lead can leak before anyone contacts it
The first failure may happen before the sales team ever sees the inquiry. The form may ask the wrong questions, a phone call may not be logged, or the lead may arrive without a source. That makes a fast response and later reporting harder.
More traffic does not repair this problem. It sends more opportunities into the same broken path.
The seven places to inspect
A practical review follows the prospect from the first message to the final outcome. Each stage should have an owner, a timestamp and a clear next action.
- Offer and ad message
- Landing page, lead form or phone call
- Lead source and campaign naming
- CRM intake and ownership
- First contact and response speed
- Booked appointment or sales opportunity
- Revenue connected to the original source
What a useful diagnosis should produce
A useful audit should not produce a long list of generic recommendations. It should identify the few leaks most likely to affect the business, show the evidence, and put the fixes in the right order.
For many service businesses, the first priority is simply making every lead visible and giving it a next contact date. Once that works, campaign quality and revenue can be evaluated with much more confidence.
